Experience Summary
Earning an Elementary Education Degree from Central Washington University has prepared me to be the best teacher I can possibly be. After graduating in the middle of the school year I went straight into substitute teaching. This experience has impacted my teaching in a profound way.I was able to have extensive practice with many different elementary grade levels and different styles of learners in a relatively short amount of time. During the past year the experience I had while student teaching and while substitute teaching has given me a foundation to teach all areas of Elementary Education including reading, writing, math, social studies and science.
Teaching Style
I can’t imagine doing anything else with my life other than teaching elementary children. I love helping children discover new concepts and seeing them accomplish things they never knew they were capable of. I am extremely patient, kind and easygoing. I want what is best for your child and am willing to put forth my best effort until your child is successful. My teaching is centered on building up the child. I want to fill the child with knowledge and a confidence that they are capable of anything. I believe that children are successful when they are taught through discovery. This instills a sense of ownership in their learning. It is my goal to always make a positive difference in all of my students’ lives.
