Experience Summary
I have taught in a variety of educational institutions including; private schools, public schools, charter schools, boarding schools, tutoring, and group homes. I have built music programs from the ground up, as well as having taught a variety of ESL/ELD classes. I also have experience in teaching reading and writing and the middle school levels, and AIMS Science classes.
Teaching Style
I believe that all students can be successful, it's just a matter of finding the right lever to make education enjoyable and relevant in their own lives. I successfully use cross-ciriculum education in order to teach students at a higher level of Bloom's, thus insuring greater retention rates. I use scaffolding to build upon prior knowledge in order to keep new information relevant to the student. I have a great passion for education and for helping the students reach their full potential in a way that makes them want to continue to excell in their studies.
