Experience Summary
I hold an undergraduate from the University of Alabama in Business Management. I also have a MBA from American Intercontinental University with a concentration in Business Management. My training experience started back at the University of Alabama. I used to tutor students in Math, Science and English. I also worked with Junior Achievement and taught students Business and Marketing. I also served as Training and Development Coordinator with AmSouth Bank. I currently am responsible for training manuals and standard operating and procedures for AT&T.
Teaching Style
My goal when tutoring is to figure out each student’s learning style. I then present the information in a way that they will be academically successful. I use a mixture of Audio, Visual and Hands-On methods. After each tutoring session, I have my students to tell me what they have learned to insure they have retained the information covered. I also give short quizzes of the most important concepts. I am a very good listener and very patient. By understanding my students' thought processes, I work within their frame of reference and then offer suggestions to guide them to a more appropriate path.
