Current MBA in Finance & Accounting Student, and owner of Start-up Company.
2009-2010 Denver CO. Organized after school program via church organization bringing in various graduate student volunteers for mathematics and English lessons, targeted for underprivileged youth trying to obtain GED's, as well as college entrance counseling. I have left the program due to a move, and to my knowledge the program is still ongoing.
2005-2007 Iowa City, Iowa. Tutored mainly in mathematics, including one elementary student and 2 college students.
Teaching Style
I am a firm believer that most students may dislike subjects they may not completely grasp. I focus on foundation skills, real life examples, and making the material relevant for students. Keeping material fresh, entertaining and interactive are vital and key components in winning students over. Once students understand key concepts and foundation skills, I believe it important to keep a challenging and accelerated material and learning environment, to keep the students interested and intellectually satisfied.
