Experience Summary
As a Mathematics major, I have the drive to solve problems. I have been tutoring for seven years and when I'm not doing it, I miss it. I enjoy helping students 'solve their problems' by teaching them how to approach each problem or equation and reach the end solution. While in College, I was recommended by numerous professors for the tutoring program and was able to continue my tutoring career. Throughout the past seven years, I have tutored Pre-Algebra, Bio-Calculus, Pre-Calculus, and Calculus.
Teaching Style
Teaching is a difficult task. Everyone learns at a different pace and on their own level. Some students are quick learners and their teacher only needs to go over the lesson once; other students need to hear the subject content in a different form to understand it. Having said that, I can't explain my teaching style as a cut and dry formula. The skill level of each student and the way they process information will determine how I will present them with questions and explanations. I don't believe in teaching every student with the same teaching style; I believe in conforming to the skill level of the student so that at the end of the day, they learn the topic we set out to conquer.
