Experience Summary
I love learning and understanding new concepts and ideas. So while attending Emory & Henry college I was excited about tutoring at the local school to help Children gain a better grasp on the things they were learning in class. After graduating with Bachelors degrees in Math and Physics, I wanted to continue to learn more and keep passing on what I had learned to others. As a Graduate Teaching assistant at the University of Kansas, I was able to keep learning about Mathematics and teach and tutor classes of students in everything from basic college algebra to Calculus and Statistics.
Teaching Style
As a flexible and understanding tutor, I will be fully engaged in trying to help my students learn their new material and pay attention for any gaps in their basic knowledge of the subject that I can help to fix. Since I am laid back and patient, tutoring will be a low stress environment, which is something that I believe is essential to learning effectively. While I am a friendly and easy-going person, I also will be focused on keeping my students working to achieve the goals planned for our sessions. I am ready to help you succeed!
