Experience Summary
I am a biology graduate from the University of Colorado. I am planning on getting my PhD in Molecular Bio-science. I love biology and all of the other subjects withing biology (ie. molecular biology, microbiology, genetics, ecology etc. ) I also enjoy math a lot my degree only required me to complete Calc. I but I went a head and completed all of the Calc. courses (Calc III). I have grade school level kids as well as high school level. I have conducted many study groups with college students. I enjoy learning as well as teaching.
Teaching Style
I believe that each student has their own style of learning and soak up information differently then other students. I myself like to learn visually and hands on. I have tried many styles of learning to see what works for me. I record lectures, take my own notes, like to question myself while I'm studying for a test. I think connecting something to something you already know will help you retain that new information very well. It makes me feel great when I know I have taught someone well and that they actual understand the information and are not just regurgitating what I am telling them.
