Experience Summary
I have a number of education courses completed from UD since I had started in the Elementary Education program there. As a Youth Minister I taught all age levels from sixth grade to seniors. I also taught training sessions for my adult volunteers. As a Sales Consultant part of my responsibilities was teaching program materials informational sessions to adults. While working at OIP&T as a Student Services Coordinator I taught two semesters of Communications and Psychology courses to the college students while an instructor took time off after her husband died.
Teaching Style
I am an adaptable teacher. If I see that something is not getting through I will try a new angle to get the point across and am not afraid to try something to reach the students. No two people learn exactly the same way so one needs to adjust for the learner. Interactive learning is beneficial and usually helps keep students more focused and excited about the learning process. I like the challenge of helping others and enjoy seeing when they "get it" and are ready to move on.
