Experience Summary
For the last 15 years or so, I've worked as a professional writer in the travel industry. I've also published a few newspaper articles. Currently, I am studying for my Master's in Journalism at Harvard University Extension School. My professors there will vouch for my excellent grammar skills.
As a writing tutor with 826 Boston, I have helped many students write college application essays that do them proud ... and make them stick out (in a good way!) in a crowd. I can also help you write your essay on Pride and Prejudice, Les Miserable, A Separate Peace, Hiroshima, The Hobbit, The Meaning of Life as You See it ... any subject you need to tackle.
Teaching Style
I believe anyone (this means you!) can learn to write well and enjoy it. I can help you conquer writer's block, say what's in your heart and mind, make yourself understood ... and get good grades. It can be hard work, but I'll make it fun. Perhaps most important I can explain grammar to you in a way that makes sense so it will stick with you. Once you know why, it's much easier to remember what's right.
The great thing about writing is that you often end up amazing yourself with your creativity, insight, and ability. I know you can do it!
