Experience Summary
I acquired my undergraduate degree from a university that has a
reputation of educating the most proficient future teachers. I have taught and tutored diverse populations of age, aptitudes,
cultures and socioeconomic backgrounds. I am comfortable teaching
many subjects, and I have had great success teaching reading and language arts. My educational background in psychology provides
an advantage in working with special needs students. I have had great success teaching language to foreign students as well. I have a BA in English and Elementary Education, a MA in Psychology/Human Development, and two certifications.
Teaching Style
I am a very caring teacher with a humanistic approach to education. I am dedicated to creating a positive learning experience. I consider myself a lifetime learner, as well as,
a teacher, and I impart the philosophy that learning is exciting, fun and a lifelong process. I believe that the development of self-confidence in the student is the foundation
for academic success. I am resolution-oriented, and I take pride
in evaluating and resolving the challenges the student may encounter.
