Experience Summary
I have studied and spoken German for over 16 years studying at both the University of Denver and Metropolitan State College of Colorado. In addition I am completely fluent reading, writing, and speaking German, have 2 bilingual children and have spent extensive amount of time in Germany. I enjoy tutoring this language.
In addition I have my bachelor's in biology and extensive studies in chemistry. I've worked in the environmental industry which which gives me a true understanding of many areas of chemistry and earth sciences. I've taught and tutored high school chemistry for over 5 years and currently tutor chemistry, physical science, and earth science for middle and high school students.
Teaching Style
My teaching style varies with each student as some learn better with visual learning: taking notes, writing sentences or equations out; and some are audio learners with the ability to understand better as concepts are explained. I believe it's important to support the student in finding out the best way to tutor for them and have experience working with ADD and ADHD students.
