Experience Summary
I have over 35 years experience teaching at the university level including courses in statistics, research methods, medical sociology, writing, and numerous other topics. I have also conducted management training to public service managers and employees focusing on management skills and employee development and compliance.
Teaching Style
My teaching style will vary according to the task at hand. For example, in teaching or tutoring basic, knowledge-based subjects, my approach is more structured and gear towards building knowledge and mastery of the subjects at hand. In preparing students for educational success, my style is adjusted to the student. That is, every student is different and unique, and will demonstrate his or her own natural learning abilities. In this respect, I work closely with students to discover those intangibles that motivate and inspire them to learn. I can definitely teach young people the skills they need to be successful in their education and in life in general.
