Experience Summary
I believe in education to improve one’s life. My working experience includes working as Program Manager for non-profit organization providing free child care to low income families, bilingual teacher assistant, substitute teacher, office manager, and banking as Research Analyst. It also includes living and working overseas. This experience gave me a unique perspective into different cultures with its political and belief systems, which I hope to transfer to the students. My education includes two associate degrees – Art and Science, a Bachelor Degree in International Affairs, and a Master degree in Teaching Social Study Education. I hope to use my expertise and knowledge to help students achieve their educational goals
Teaching Style
In educations “one size does not fit all”. As an Intern, I had the opportunity of working in a highly diverse classroom with students from different cultural background and learning abilities, teaching three 7th grade World Geography classes and two 8th grade U.S. History classes. . As a teacher my goal is to make sure students understand the content. Using differentiated instruction to include all the students, I prepared lesson plans complete with images, sounds, and films, and as needed explaining content in Spanish.
