Experience Summary
Upon receiving my Bachelors in History, I spent almost a year teaching home-school children in various subjects such as math, English, French, history and Bible. I also had the opportunity to further my language education in France and Switzerland and utilized this experience to briefly volunteer and teach in Eastern Europe. Because History degrees require extensive research and writing to prepare for thesis and book publishing, I am also well-equipped to aid in high school and college English composition. Finally, I have been trained and still train in the Vaganova style of ballet, and I also have experience in tap dance.
Teaching Style
I believe that people learn in different ways. Therefore, I believe, while in a one-to-one setting, it is important to adapt as best as possible to the student’s learning style in order for their education to be most effective. It is important for the student to work hard and for educators to have patience. I work with students to help them discover and understand the subject by asking questions, explaining concepts, and utilizing time constructively. I believe education and teaching are true privileges.
