Experience Summary
I have recently gotten back from spending the last two years studying linguistics and Latin American literature at the Universidad de las Américas, one of Mexico's finest universities. While in Mexico i took part in a linguistic study where I helped identify language problems such as grammar and pronunciation and design lesson plans to help over come those problems for children ranging from grades k-12. I also helped to tutor other foreign students at the university.
Teaching Style
I am very passionate about the Spanish language, but more than that I love watching others get excited about learning the language. Learning a second language allows you to view the world from a different perspective and broadens the mind. I strongly believe that learning a language isn't only about grammar and vocabulary, but instead also involves learning about the culture as well. I understand that it can be a difficult process and one that takes time, but it is something that everyone can do.
