Experience Summary
Since attending graduate school at SDSU, I’ve been teaching in the Economics Department at the University. I’ve loved the opportunity to stay in the academic environment, and have taught Principles to Macroeconomics, Statistics and Data Collection for Economics, Labor Economics, and Int. Microeconomic Theory. I’ve also recently began tutoring statistics in an online environment and have enjoyed the direct one-on-one contact that you don’t receive in the classroom.
Teaching Style
I teach because of the satisfaction I receive from students who communicate they have walked away from the studies with value. I believe that individuals who are driven to a path of continual learning will excel not only in their studies, but in the other endeavors throughout their lives. Quantitative tools and evaluation methods are instrumental to the nature of business and economics, and expanding students’ understanding of the value and use is an important message to portray. I am also a firm believer that support and encouragement in the learning environment has a phenomenal effect on final outcomes.
