Experience Summary
Tutored math through calculus at local community college and basic chemistry, biology and math at the local University. Tutored while serving in the military in math and science as well as test prep for all ages, grade levels and developmental levels. Worked for tutoring agency and privately tutoring grades K-12 and college. Tutored nursing students in dosage calculations and chemistry. Have a bachelors in nursing encompassing a wide range of sciences. Served as an instructor in my military area of expertise (data and communications systems).
Teaching Style
I am very flexible in my teaching style and usually spend the first session gauging how the student learns. I am very patient and understanding however I strive to help the student discover their full potential. I have used many creative methods to teaching to include relating addition and subtraction to yards down on a football field, teaching trig by building and launching rockets, basically connecting what needs to be learned to what interests the student.
