Experience Summary
To finance my education I have worked at a recreation center, supervising and mentoring children for 5 years. This enabled me to work with a variety of children and their personalities. I have earned a Bachelor degree in Business Administration with a major in International Business and a minor in Economics. Through writing several essays, research reports and preparing presentations which included critical thinking and problem solving, I've gained knowledge in math and writing skills. Along the way, I helped my colleagues by tutoring them in areas of difficulty. The summer after I graduated I also tutored students in economics. Additionally, over the past 5 years I have helped children with their homework ages 5-12.
Teaching Style
I am a firm believer in teaching through organization. I've realized that with any age I tutor, organization is a key skill to managing and focusing on areas of difficulty. I also believe in using visuals and writing things down in order to achieve academic success. I am patient and diligent in furthering a student's learning potential. As a goal-oriented individual, I find the student's improvement from my focused direction is the greatest intrinsic reward which drives me to create an enriching learning environment. Not only will a student improve in his/her work but they will also take away skills to use in the future of their education.
