Experience Summary
I am very passionate about educating others and have used my two Education degrees (Bachelor’s and Master’s) to work with students of all levels, especially in math. In my three years of full-time teaching experience, I have taught 6th grade math, 8th grade math, Algebra 1, Algebra 2, Geometry, Pre-calculus, Trigonometry, and AP Calculus. Additionally, I have two years of experience tutoring elementary students in reading and writing, as well as volunteering many hours to help run educational programs for elementary through college age students.
Teaching Style
I absolutely love teaching and especially enjoy working with upper level students, although I love working with children as well. I believe every student has been given unique gifts and talents, but needs others to help them discover those abilities. As a teacher, I don't expect all my students to be "math geniuses" because their talents may be in a different field, but I do expect all my students to excel in what they do and give their all. I encourage my students to make every effort to do their best because they CAN succeed at whatever they put their minds to. My goal as an educator is to instill confidence in every student and guide them to academic success so they can carry that confidence into all areas of life.
