Experience Summary
Years before I was received my degrees in education, I worked as a volunteer then hired as a teacher in an accredited community based private school in the Bay Area of California. I worked at this position for 10 years. My students included grade level pre-K/K, and grades 4/5. program director for a community based drop-in educational center, a pre-school teacher/assistant, a public school substitute instructional assistant,a public school instructional assistant, a substitute teacher in the public schools, a public school teacher working with special education behavior disorder students, and a GED teacher at a Seattle community college.
Teaching Style
I love sharing knowledge with learners of all ages yet especially children. I am patient,easy going, and love to create that light that goes off in that child when they "get it". I beleive that all children can learn. I also believe that adjustments, modifications, and a variety of approaches are necessary in working with different learners because we all learn differently. I want to help all learners unlock the gifts and talents hidden with to reach their potential to benefit themselves, their families, their community, the world.
