Experience Summary
With fifteen years of college-level teaching experience, I have taught numerous sections of Freshman Composition, Literature, Business Writing, and Preparatory Writing. I enjoy working with students, giving them insights into the potential rewards that await those who improve their written communication skills. With this in mind, I currently teach courses at two colleges, developing students' abilities to further their eduction--and their life success.
Teaching Style
I enjoy engaging students with the actuality of what is expected of them in the "real world" of academic writing assignments. Often, students may struggle with grammar and mechanics fundamentals--but fail to see the larger scope of how to put an essay or research project together. I continuously aim to present students with inside track information about what teachers and professors are looking for. Along with this overview, I give students grammar, punctuation, and mechanics tools to successfully complete writing assignments every time.
