Experience Summary
As a holder of a Masters degree in Science, I was driven by hardwork to acquire as much knowledge as possible. I also have a Bachelors of Science degree in Biology. In completing both, I have acquired strong Science and Math skills. I have learned extensive organizational and writing skills due to completing a research based scientific study and then publishing my report and final conclusions. After acquiring my teachers credential, I worked for eight years as an elementary school teacher, teaching grades third through sixth.
Teaching Style
I am a very patient and kind person and those traits shine through when I am dealing with children. I believe all children deserve an education and that all can succeed. However, I do believe that not all learn at the same pace nor in the same manner. As a result, I am empathetic to each student's strengths and areas of weaknesses. I love to help and empower the individual. Teaching is a way to really make a difference in an individual's life as well as contributing to our society.
