Experience Summary
As a graduate of the University of Florida, I earned two bachelor's degrees. My double major, Mechanical Engineering and Aerospace Engineering, provided me with a thorough understanding of mathematics, physics, and chemistry. I also have a solid foundation in grammar and technical writing, due to the need for extensive explanation of difficult concepts in engineering reports and projects. During my time in college I worked as a tutor in the Santa Fe College math lab where I tutored students in intermediate algebra, college algebra, geometry, trigonometry, pre-calculus, calculus 1, calculus 2, calculus 3, and differential equations. I also have experience tutoring physics and chemistry.
Teaching Style
I enjoy teaching because it allows me to contribute to a student's understanding of invaluable concepts which will improve and enrich their lives. I am sociable and easy to talk to, and I remember what it was like being in school and struggling with difficult concepts. All students can learn, and I believe that the key is finding a way for each individual student to personally relate to the material. If difficult concepts can be presented in a way that is tailored to each student's specific needs and interests, their potential may be reached.
