Experience Summary
I have earned two degrees in business administration. I have 20 years of practical business experience to go with my education. I have a very good grasp of high school and college algebra, and business calculus. I have had to write a master's thesis as well as many papers throughout my graduate and undergraduate career. I am experienced in economics, business finance, accounting and marketing. I have facilitated over 50 training classes in my business career. These have included retail math, retail finance, basic economics and retail accounting.
Teaching Style
I have a love of learning and teaching and it shows in my classes. I have tutored my 11 year old daughter in math for the last 3 years. This year we are doing pre-algebra. I believe in evaluating a student from what they know and then see if I can teach them any ways to shorten what they do or try to bring it up or down to their level of understanding. Each learner is different so your style must be flexible. I believe in celebrating our wins and exploring our opportunities. My goal is to get the learner to a level where they are confident and comfortable in the material that they are learning.
