Experience Summary
Throughout my life I have been an avid learner. I have explored many subjects in mathematic, science, literature, art, and history through my education as a homeschool student, dual-enrollment at SPC, and my academic career at the University of Florida. However, I do not keep this knowledge to myself; it is one of my great joys to share and teach others what I learn. I have worked wtih students of every age for the past ten years. Specifcally, I have tutored at the St. Petersburg College Learning Support Center and a private tutoring company. I am currently teaching geometry at a local private school.
Teaching Style
I have two main goals when I teach or tutor. One is to meet the student where they are. I seek to meet their learning style, background, and ability in the subject. Secondly, I try to make the the subject as interesting as possible. I present it in an interesting and fun manner, such as using analogies, references, and real life application when possible. I am also very patient with slower learners and able to meet the fast-paced demands of a gifted student. I enjoy getting to know the student and helping them succeed at every level.
