Experience Summary
I graduated from Michigan Technological University in December 2010 where I earned a BS in Mathematical Sciences. I have learned much about the nature of math and how students learn it. I am in process of receiving my teaching certification from the State of Michigan. For the last 4 years, I tutored college students in math. The past two years I tutored middle school students in science and math. I recently finished my student teaching in a middle school classroom.
Teaching Style
I love helping and working with learners of all ages. I believe that everyone has something to learn and that it is a continuous process. I am patient, goal-driven, and understanding. My goal is to help you master the concepts. I want you to be able to discover a concept or big idea for yourself and then expand on that so you can explain it to me multiple ways. I believe that all students and children can reach their potential with proper encouragement in an inspiring environment. I will improve you and your student's understanding of the material.
