Experience Summary
Having an excellent and extensive educational track record, I feel I am well positioned to assist current students achieve their goals. I have a JD from NYU School of Law, which helped me master such skills as reading comprehension, analytical thinking and persuasive writing. I have an MS from Yale University and a BS from William and Mary in chemistry (with a focus on organic chemistry) which has provided me with broad experience in the fields of math and science. I have tutored chemistry students and served as a teaching assistant at both Yale and William and Mary, as well as having privately tutored students in high school math and science.
Teaching Style
I believe in tailoring my teaching style to individual students that I tutor. The two most important techniques I have used are translating academic concepts into everyday examples that students can readily understand and using positive reinforcement to help them towards their goals. Especially in the fields of math and science, I have found that learning by analogy and real world examples provides the surest path towards success.
