Experience Summary
Due to my desire to increase my knowledge, I graduated a year early from my university with a BA in Psychology, and a minor in Political Science. I am currently in Graduate School, majoring in Community Counseling. This is because I have a great desire to work with people, and help them out. I spent two years as an AVID tutor, working in all subjects but specifically Psychology, History, Government and Economics, Math, and English.
Teaching Style
I work with students very well. I make sure that they are able to connect with me, and enjoy the process of learning. It's important to like what you are studying, so that you can get the most out of it. I feel as though it is necessary for them to enjoy the setting they are in, and I do my best to accommodate them. Learning should not be something that students do not look forward to, contrary; they should be excited to learn something new. I make sure that this is one of my goals, so that they can get the ultimate satisfaction and have that desire to solve the problems and answer the questions on their own. I don't just consider it tutoring, I consider it mentoring.
