Experience Summary
I recently completed my thirteenth year of full-time teaching in the state of Michigan. I taught all subjects at the sixth grade level for eleven years for a public school. I've also taught all subjects at the fourth grade level, along with third grade social studies, for a Catholic school. Along with years of experience teaching a variety of subjects, I have participated in several professional development programs including the latest strategies in reading, writing, math, and science instruction.
Teaching Style
I really enjoy working with children with various learning styles and abilities. I'm a patient, open-minded, empathic listener whose focus is the development of your child's potential.
I strongly believe that building self-confidence is vital for each individual. By being self-confident, one is more sure of himself, and can gain a higher sense of self-esteem. By being taught through positive motivation, teachings, and feedback, each student will become more self-confident and have a positive attitude with any situation he or she may encounter.
