Experience Summary
As an educator for seven years, I have worked in several different environments and have worn several different hats. I have a BA in English with a concentration in Mass Communications, an MA in Secondary Education with a concentration in Language Arts, and an MA in Educational Leadership and Administration. I have worked as a middle school teacher, a secondary teacher, and as a post-secondary instructor. At the present time, I am an administrator for a drop-out recovery program. I have tutored for several state-mandated tests in Language Arts and Reading. I have worked diligently with my students writing essays and papers and I provide quality feedback to help them perfect their writing and composition skills.
Teaching Style
I am an educator both by heart and by trade. It is my desire to extend my love of learning to students. This love includes both reading and writing. My philosophy is that if you can teach a person to read, and show that person how reading opens up new avenues of progress for them, the person will never know limitations.
