Experience Summary
As a chemist with both teaching and business experience, I am in a unique position to demonstrate how the subjects they learn today will impact their careers tomorrow. I have a bachelor's degree in Chemistry, as well as graduate level education in both Business Administration and Inorganic Chemistry. During my graduate level education, I worked as a graduate teaching assistant and college chemistry tutor. As a teaching assistant, I gave lectures on college chemistry to groups as large as 300, evaluated student's work, and taught proper lab technique to groups of 90 students per semester.
Teaching Style
Teaching was my favorite part of the graduate school experience. My basic teaching style is to stress the underlying pattern in chemistry, and show how that pattern is can be applied in several ways. I have found that this approach encourages problem solving abilities and helps students succeed, not only in the classroom, but beyond.
