Experience Summary
I have experience teaching elementary school children in the USA and other countries,all core subjects, including ESL. Also, have worked with the adult population teaching English as a Second Language,Spanish,Reading.I have a BA in Education from Brazil, have taught in country as well as Japan, the Middle East and here in the United States.I have taken many classes in Bilingual Education at CU Boulder and are starting a Master's online program in Spanish language/teaching, with a Spanish University.I can also teach Portuguese(my original native language).
Teaching Style
I consider myself a very creative teacher.I like to use techniques such as Total Physical Response(TPR), when teaching a second language. I have mastered two second languages myself,and raised two bi literate children successfully.I believe everyone can learn, and I need to find the student's learning style and work from there. I love working with children and see their growth and fun when they can succeed. Reading and Bilingual Education are two of my passions in life, and the kind or work that I enjoy doing the most.
