Experience Summary
I care deeply about the next generation and wish to impart on them a desire to learn. I have seen a student change from a surly individual to one who participated in class and became more consistent in homework. I believe that respect, encouragement, and care can motivate a child to go beyond his best and succeed not only in school, but also in life. Being a part of the education world is not only a huge responsibility; it is a privilege few attain with the joy I have experienced during the past few years.
Teaching Style
Groups are beneficial because there are a variety of opinions, abilities, and skill levels, thus teaching students the importance of unity in the workplace and classroom. Buddies are important because they give students someone other than the teacher to go to with questions that may seem "silly" and give them someone with whom to share concerns. Books and technology can be used to multi-facet the learning experiences of all students involved, as there may be several types of abilities in the classroom and multiple "intelligences," as well. I am also a proponent of projects that echo what I am currently teaching.
