Experience Summary
As a graduate of a private college, I have always been driven to perform at the top of my game. I have received two Bachelors degrees in both English literature and theater. Early in my collegiate career I gained a position as a teaching assistant (TA) and taught a required first year course for 3 out of my 4 years of college. In this position, I noticed that a lot of writing skills were missing from first year students that I felt that they should hav possessed and created and implemented a collegiate level writing and researching workshop that the college still uses. In addition to my TA position, I tutored nursing students in anatomy and physiology and biology classes.
Teaching Style
I love teaching and learning. I grew up going to Montessori schools and truly believe that everyone is capable of learning its just finding the right way to teach that person--not all students can be boxed into a simple blanket method of teaching. I have found this to be true thru the collegiate levels. As a teaching assistant in college, I had to go thru extensive training to learn how best to teach each type of learner. I look forward to helping your child find their style of learning and tapping into it to support them in their pursuit of becoming the best student that they can be.
