Experience Summary
As a child growing up in a community which had many high need areas for education, I found that even with little resources my teachers provided the best education to me which got me an academic scholarship to college. While attending the University of Arkansas and obtaining my degree in BS in Biology and Chemistry minor, I was able to gain a vast amount of knowledge in the science and math content areas. I was able to tutor students in the local college area in the areas or math and science which lead me to wanting to become an educator. Since graduation I have worked in various science laboratories and have taught Biology, Chemistry, and Environmental Science on the high school level.
Teaching Style
I think that each student has the ability to learn but each learning style is different in which individuals comprehend and understand content. I use daily connection so that students can draw the connection to the subject. Also I use engaging strategies for students to retain attention to subject and making it fun while learning.
