Experience Summary
As a driven student & business owner, I've had ownership stakes in different businesses. Educationally, I have had a natural love for mathematics (BS) & life sciences (short of minors in chemistry, physics, and biology). As my involvement in business increased while still in school, I've been able to truly understand having to choose between the daily rat race and the daily demand of academic pursuits. As a musician and guitar teacher, I understand the balance between demonstrating theory and the importance of impromptu emotion. As a teacher, I like to relate to my students in ways that preserve, maintain, and promote integrity, face, intuition, desire to succeed, and encouragement.
Teaching Style
Teaching, or the best teachers, are required to have a certain undertanding that not just anyone has. I think teaching is a decision that demands patience, excitement, encouragement, care, and the love of making the best students possible. Constructivist approaches to learning and inquiry based teaching, appreciating multiple intelligences, and methods of learning, are all part of my approach to teaching. Students have interests that vary and their interests may very well round out their desire to learn. I strive to make sure to it that my students take away something to learn every time that I see them.
