Experience Summary
I have a Masters degree in Mathematics and a Bachelors degree in Education. I am certified to teach Integrated Mathematics to grades 7-12 by the Ohio Department of Education and have been designated as a Highly Qualified teacher. Tutoring is part of my life which I started from the time I entered into College (1986) for my undergraduate courses. I started my teaching career in the year of 1992 with a premier high school in New Delhi, the capital of India. I moved to Cleveland, Ohio, USA during 2001, since then I have taught High School Math courses including Algebra 1, Geometry, Algebra 2, Trigonometry, Precalculus and Calculus.
Teaching Style
I strongly believe that everyone can learn Math easier if proper training and practice is provided. Students, especially those who don’t get enough attention from classroom teachers, usually lose interest with Math and this makes it even harder. The sooner we identify the need for extra help/tutoring we can easily overcome the situation and bring students back on track. My approach to teaching is to develop confidence in the students so they may guide themselves in a situation where no one is around to help them. Basically I want them to be self learners in future.
