Experience Summary
I've worked numerous jobs, none of which were fulfilling except the ones where I worked with children, particularly students who were troubled or had learning disabilities. I was a theatre major in college, so you might be quick to think I was a flake or someone who just coasted by through college, but I graduated with a 3.7 GPA, receiving some of my best scores in Logic and History, but my favorite subject was Shakespearean literature. I've worked with many children over the years in both a daycare and classroom setting, some easier than others, but I respected and enjoyed working with all of them. I have a fun and vibrant personality and a great sense of humor which draws people in. My passion and joie de vivre is infectious.
Teaching Style
I'm not going to lie; I hated school when I was younger. Some people might think this a drawback when hiring someone as a tutor, but I think it has made me more sympathetic to students who struggle, who don't enjoy school and who need someone to give them a reason to excel. I also can inspire students who are modivated and open up new worlds to them and make learning fun. I love reading and writing, history and theatre, art and science and everything else in between. The world is open and bright for everyone, especially those who wish to learn.
