Experience Summary
As a graduate of Saint Olaf College, I have pushed myself to achieve academic excellence on a personal level. I have earned two degrees, BA in History and BA in Classics. Through my experiences in both of these disciplines, I have attained a high level of proficiency in grammar and spelling. For the past six years I have taught for three high school drumlines, interacting with students and parents in order to provide the best possible learning and performing experience. I have also tutored my peers in Latin through the Academic Support Center in College, and found the experience to be both positive and rewarding.
Teaching Style
I have always loved teaching, and enjoy working with all children. It is my belief that children can learn, and it is my job to find ways to make information interesting and accessible. My goal is to provide the best education possible in a manner that is both engaging and enjoyable. I believe in an interdisciplinary teaching style, where the student learns and retains information by connecting it to other subject matter. I adapt my teaching style to the needs of the individual, which I believe is of the very important in successful education. I always remember those teachers who have made me excited about learning, and seek to emulate their passion. I hope to make a positive and lasting difference in the lives of my students.
