Experience Summary
My original direction was networking until I realized the rewards of spending time with students in the classroom. Having raised two children, I volunteered several hundred hours at my son's school and found that I desired to be part the classroom experience.
Changing my course of study to Elementary Education, I had taken coursework relevant to K-12 studies, assessments, management and curriculum.
Teaching Style
I feel it is my responsibility as a teacher to help the student realize their potential by engaging my student in the learning process. It is my belief that every student has the potential to learn their material. A major benefit from my experience as an education major is learning that students have different learning styles as well as different intelligences in their acquisition of their life's experiences.
It is my responsibility to see that a student feels comfortable and safe in their learning environment. When a student finds that they have minimal distraction they are more focused on their lessons.
