Experience Summary
As a teacher at Thomasville High School, I instructed students in World History. I also assisted with tutorial for student struggling in various social studies subjects (i.e. World History, Civics, US History). Another responsibility I had was that I provided guidance and mentorship to seniors on their graduation projects. Some of my other duties assigned by the school administration were School Safety Team, Parking Lot & Hall Monitoring, etc. I also had the pleasure of assisting the school band director with establishing a national championship marching band program.
Teaching Style
I personally believe that in order to unlock the learning potential in a child that you must first get to know the child and his/her abilities.Establishing a positive and trusting relationship can make all the differnce in the world to a child. Every child is different. You must make the material that they are learning relevant to their everyday lives. I believe in creating an enviroment so that learning is exciting not intimidating. That way they can take what they learn, apply it, and make better, more positive choices in their everyday lives and become productive people insted of menaces to society.
