Experience Summary
Graduating with a Bachelor's Degree in Journalism has given me the easygoing background to educate others in writing and reading. I am always the person asked by friends and family when they are not sure how to spell a word or if they need something to be proofread. I enjoy reading and writing very much and would love an opportunity to spread my passion of knowledge through reading. Ie have recently been thinking of getting certified in teaching to be a substitute or tutor. I just needed a reason to complete the task. Throughout my years in school I wrote and read everything necessary and I believe I would have no problem helping others achieve their goals of learning how to read and write to the best of their ability.
Teaching Style
I enjoy helping people learn something new. I think anyone can do anything they put their mind to. I would allow the student time to get to know me so they would feel comfortable with me. Students sometimes feel too vulnerable to try things when they don't know someone because they do not want to make mistakes. I would let them know that the only way to get better at something is to make mistakes so they can learn from those mistakes by making the appropriate corrections. Confidence is key. Positive work ethics allow me to help and give students the confidence necessary to complete anything put before them.
