Experience Summary
As a college graduate, I decided to pursue graduate studies in the field of Historical Archaeology and History. A recipient of a B.S. in Anthropology/History and a minor in Biology from Radford University, this new focus is a continuation of my concentrations from my undergraduate career. I am fluent in US and World History as well as fundamental biological concepts. I graduated Magna Cum Laude (3.78) from Radford University and scored a perfect 6.0/6.0 in the writing section of the Graduate Record Exam (top 98% in the nation) in addition to a 78% score in the verbal section.
Teaching Style
I enjoy instructing others, especially through the use of analogies and personal stories. Growing up in a very different, rural environment often provides me with various examples and personal situations that are often pertinent to the subject at hand. In addition, I actively attempt to connect the subject material with non-academic subjects, such as musical interests or athletics, two areas which I also enjoy. I understand the concerns students have with being assisted by a tutor and attempt to make that process as fulfilling as it is necessary.
