Experience Summary
Over 27 years Military Experience as Army Instructor/Trainer and Leader supervising up to 149 personnel and their training programs and progress at all levels.
While attending Miami University I earned two science department awards for tutoring and mentoring Botany students in research and writing skills and study skills.
At Highview Elementary, Middletown, tutored 5th grade students in Reading under Title 1. Charted their progress and submitted to teachers at least once a week.
At Sinclair Community College provided math lecture and instruction during the 5 hour sessions for 9th graders.
Currently working with 6th grade students from Middletown Preparatory School with Center.Ed tutoring and teaching.
Teaching Style
I enjoy working with students of all ages. I have learned over the years that soldiers, same as students, can learn at different paces, different teaching styles and through much patience. If one style isn't working I have learned to quickly try another, and another, or even back up several lessons to find where their problem may be. All students have the right to reach their maximum potential no matter what it takes, and I am willing to work with each student to reach their potential.
