Experience Summary
I have a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, which has provided me with a detailed understanding of science and upper-level math. I currently work as an editor of scientific journals. In addition to keeping my science knowledge fresh, this has strengthened and refined my strong grammatical and writing skills. I have three years of volunteer experience teaching scientific principles while conducting experiments in elementary school classrooms. I also have volunteer experience teaching 2-year-olds. Finally, as a process engineer, I have trained co-workers in product characteristics and key engineering process requirements. I also have used Microsoft Office products for 16 years for both engineering and editing purposes.
Teaching Style
I have a gentle teaching style, and I believe learning should be fun and rewarding. I strive to understand each student’s style of learning to enable me to tailor my teaching for each student. I am patient and professional, working at each student’s optimal pace.
