Experience Summary
I am a well educated, award winning educator who has successfully taught a multitude of academic subjects in to students in grades ranging from kindergarten through the eight grade!
In addition to this, I have also received extra training in teaching math, science and technolgy. The training that I have received has allowed me completely engage my students in meaningful learning activities; which has resulted in my students gaining at least a years worth of growth on all state and national test.
Lastly, please note that the increase in my students test scores occurred with students in an inclusion classroom, with the most academically, socially, and emotionally needy students in our school building, for the grade in which I taught!
Teaching Style
I am a hands on/visual, motivating, guided/sheltered, higher order critical thinking teacher with exceptional classroom management skills.
I love teaching students how to think however, not what to think. I do this by guiding their learning by using project based learning activities that help them process what they have learning in logical steps using technology. Therefore, the end results of this process is a technologically based product which allows my students to communicate to me in writing what they have learned (PPP)!
