Experience Summary
I have been an educator for 23 years,as an elementary school teacher, and in special education at the secondary level. I have a master's degree in learning disabilities, and have worked on a Child Study Team for the past 14 years. I believe all children can learn if taught to their individual learning style. I have taught home instruction and tutored high school students in English, math, and science.I have a flexible work schedule.
Teaching Style
As an educator I have the opportunity to help my students find their strengths, build on them, and guide them on their future path. This opportunity can also be a challenge. It becomes my responsibility to rise to the challenge and be the person they say was important in shaping their future.
I want to be prepared to help students recognize their strengths and how those apply to a profession, how to prepare for the transition from school to the workforce, the military, or college, and how to successfully embark on their post-school life.
