Experience Summary
During my time as a student at LMU and UT, I have become very comfortable with public speaking and conveying complex scientific principles and methods to demonstrate my research findings. Once I martriculated to the University of Tennessee to start my Masters program, I was often invited to teach about fish and aquatic insects and riverine dynamics and ecology, to elementary and high school kids during "Kids in the Creek" events. I have many experiences where I would teach ecological and biological theory to children, and discussed with them the importance of science for their own futures.
Teaching Style
I have an indepth understanding for biological and ecological processes. The elementary principles of biology were instilled in me as a student, and I have an affinity for remembering how the complex nature of many microbiological and chemical processes occur. I can review and convey those ideas and theories to students in the same way I was taught.
