Experience Summary
I recently graduated from Northeastern University with my BA in Pscyhology and my MAT in Elementary Education. I have always wanted to be a teacher. From the time I was in high school I worked to have as much experience working with children as I could. My full year of student teaching was fulfilled at Josiah Quincy Elementary in downtown Boston. I worked in two classrooms, 1st grade and Kindergarden, under two of the best teachers I have ever met. This experience gave me great knowledge in teaching reading, writing, math, science, social studies, and social and behavior skills to young children, including many second language learners. I hope I have the opportunity share my many other teaching experiences with you!
Teaching Style
I believe in hands on learning. Everyone can learn but each individual is different and we each learn in different ways. Hands on learning allows the learner to experience the material visually, auditorily, and kinetically. I think it is extremely important to get to know my students and their needs individually. I am kind, patient, and fun, but I have very high expectations and I am very consistent. I love to teach and I love to see my students learn!
