Experience Summary
After receiving my Ed.D in Curriculum and Leadership, I decided to stay in the classroom. I currently instruct 4th and 5th grade students in Social Studies, Science and Math. I have taught Math to elementary students for the past 10 years. I believe that every student can learn, however each student is unique in that they learn differently. Some times finding that unique method is a challedge. If you like teaching as I do, that challedge is not hard. The joy is in watching the child comprehend or understand. The light does go off.
Teaching Style
My teaching style is compatable with the child's learning style. If they need visual instruction then it is visual. My style is mostly facilitator or demonstrator when tutoring. this is because the child needs you to show them the process more so that demonstrate what they know. Most children know some, just not enough to comprehend the entire process. when this happens, then I become a facilitator.
